River Rafting
River Rafting can be arranged while traveling from Darjeeling to Kalimpong / Gangtok, Kalimpong – Gangtok, Gangtok – NJP / IXB.
Cost: Rs. 500 per pax on sharing + vehicle detention charge of Rs. 600 for. (Nett & non-commissionable)
Cost: With river side lunch Rs. 650 per pax + vehicle detention charge of Rs.600 for a minimum of 8 paying pax is required. (Nett & non-commissionable)
The put-in point for rafting on river Teesta starts from Melli and ends at 29th mile approx 10 kms.
The entire activity takes around 3 hours.
We provide: Head gears, paddles, life jacket, professional rafting guide, proper bathroom with towels for shower.

Outline

1. The tourism sector is still in a developing stage in the areas of Sikkim, Bhutan and Darjeeling. Thus, while the tourist services available here might not match the same levels you experience in the well established tourist regions present in the plains, the fantastic views and the hospitable environment will provide you with a comfortable and unique experience.
2. Sometimes, a location that might have been on your itinerary is not open to public, for instance, when an official holiday occurs. In such scenarios, a rescheduling is indeed possible but will demand added charges. Therefore, this must be kept in mind and planned beforehand if there is a spot you absolutely wish to see!
3. If you wish to visit other places or make any kinds of plans with any of the drivers, it is highly recommended to consult us before doing so, in order to avoid any unfortunate situation that might cost you later.
4. Our transport services include dropping you off and picking you up from Deorali stand. Please note that due to growing traffic, you might have to wait a little. The only other waiting time might include at the hotel lobbies. This can happen when the driver is parking the vehicle. In such cases, your patience is highly appreciated.

North Sikkim tour packages and Nathula pass

1. Regarding trips to Nathula pass, Gurudongmar Lake or Zero point, during snow seasons, vehicles sometimes cannot make it to these locations. If this happens, please remember that the amount you have paid CANNOT be reimbursed since these tend to be paid already to the government.
2. A trip to Nathula-pass and a trip to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir require two separate bookings. However, these two trips tend to take place on the same day; hence it is highly encouraged to book both. This is mainly because if you are currently booked only for one but if you change your mind and desire to visit the second location on its arrival, you cannot do so without booking.
3. When you decide to undertake the beautiful journey till Yumthang, it does not include the famous Zero point or Yumesamdong. Nevertheless, you can indeed visit this site by paying an additional amount that tends to range from Rs. 2000 to a maximum of Rs. 3000. These amounts are charged to each vehicle and the value depends on the corresponding season.
4. Your safety is our priority. Therefore, we strongly advise you that if the driver tells you that it is dangerous (especially during snow season, when the ice is frozen on the roads) to go on a certain path to visit a particular site, please avoid forcing him.
5. Snow is pretty and indeed fun to play with. Nevertheless, make sure you wear gloves and do not walk barefoot to avoid frostbite and also to avoid your socks and the inside of your shoes from getting wet.
6. While you enjoy the beautiful sites, make sure you show your appreciation by not throwing your garbage on the streets. If you cannot locate a garbage bin during your trip, bring it with you and discard it at the hotel.
7. Make sure you follow the instructions related to photography which is strictly forbidden around border areas. 
8. The facilities within the hotels of North Sikkim are essential but not luxurious.  However, since you will be spending most of your time sightseeing, you shouldn’t have any reason to complain. You will have the basic amenities, namely, hot water, good food and sufficient linens along with a hospitable service.
9. Any tour package you choose till North Sikkim tends to include food, transport and dwelling. Still, carrying supplies especially food can be beneficial. Moreover, there are a few shops en route too.
10. Due to the geography as well as the weather, landslides are frequently encountered, here. If any diversion is encountered, the corresponding charges are applied.

Important information regarding permits

Special permits are required if you wish to cross the Nathula-pass and visit the destinations located in North Sikkim. In order to ensure a smooth process and a stress free trip, please make sure to send the photographs as well as copies of your identification, before you arrive. Speed post or couriers are the popular options used by most tourists. To acquire permission to visit North Sikkim, Baba Mandir as well as the Tsomgo Lake, 4 pictures are desired since a trip to North Sikkim requires 2 photos and Tsomgo lake and Nathula pass will require another 2. Moreover, the cost of the permit is accounted for within the transport costs. Again, please note that it is your responsibility to ensure these documents reach us on time. Do not make any delays in sending them since the permits allow you to visit some of the gorgeous locations that you would not want to miss!

Vehicles
The vehicle is allotted for the group as a whole. This vehicle is usually operated without any AC. You will not need it, however, if you do, extra charges will apply.

Three options are available that can range from just including the breakfast to including one or both meals and these correspond to CP (, MAP and AP respectively.

Traveling: do’s and don’ts

1. Clothing: Carry sufficient layers (especially head gear such as woolen caps) and mufflers. More layers are better than less; therefore, make sure you pack them during summers as well.
2. Altitude and motion sickness: Since the oxygen levels decrease with height, it is strongly advised that any asthmatic patient should absolutely avoid Gurudongmar Lake which is located at a high altitude of more than 17000 feet. Similarly, Nathula pass and Yumesamdong are also fairly high (around 14000 and 15000 feet). The same instructions hold for anyone who suffers from high blood pressure. For the same reason, walking fast and running are discouraged.

To avoid motion sickness, chew something constantly. However, if this does not help and you do feel dizzy, try to relax and if it worsens, request the driver to take you to lower heights. Coculus is a Homeopathy medicine that is very effective.
Alcohol is strongly ill advised in these areas because you would want to be completely sober when you walk on these icy roads at such high altitudes. However, more importantly, the effect of alcohol at such heights can be frightening and there have been unfortunate and untimely effects due to its consumption in the past.

1. Packing: Traveling light will prove to be much more convenient. Additionally, this will also enable you to avoid losing your possessions.
2. Photo ID: Always have your photo ID with you. This should be original (not scanned) and can include your passport, PAN card, driving license, voter’s ID etc.

Cancellation policy

1. 30 days before your assigned check in, Rs. 2000 are held. The remaining balance is reimbursed.
2. Between 30 and 15 days before your arrival, 25% of total price is held.
3. Between 14 and 7 days, 50% of total price is held
4. between 7 and 3 days, 75% of total price while 2 days before arrival will amount to 100% and no reimbursement
5. These policies do not hold for any tour package related to North Sikkim.

Hotel Cancellation:
The policy might differ from hotel to hotel.
The refunds tend to take around a week and are usually paid to whatever source you used to make the payment.
Regardless of the reason, no refunds are made for any services that were not utilized
Noteworthy details
Road conditions: The state of the roads is not top notch due to several reasons. Firstly, the roads are being widened. Secondly, weather and geography can disrupt the conditions of the roads. This is particularly true for the roads that lead to Baba mandir, Tsomgo Lake and Nathula pass. This translates to small number vehicles that are allowed on only certain days per week, permits, fees applied by the government and so on.
Transport: Heavy vehicles are not allowed within Gangtok. Therefore, smaller vehicles are provided to Vajra Taxi Stand.  A small amount of waiting is required since the permits are brought in along with the vehicle. The office dealing with permits is always very busy which is why it might cause a little delay and this situation is not within our control. This understanding will hopefully help you stay patient and this will in turn be highly appreciated by us.
Leaving hotel by 8AM: An early morning is advisable because this way you can prevent all no entry places.
